“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving rapidly on the path of development. My prayer is that the benefits of growth and progress reach every village, every neighbourhood and every household in Punjab,” Nabin said.
He described Sri Harmandir Sahib as a symbol of spiritual heritage that has given Punjab a distinct identity across the world. Referring to Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s legacy, Nabin said every citizen aspires to see a prosperous and developed Punjab that reflects the state’s rich historical and cultural traditions.
Nabin said the visit had given him renewed inspiration and energy. “After offering prayers at Sri Harmandir Sahib, I have received fresh motivation to work with greater commitment for public service and the development of Punjab,” he said.
Officials of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee honoured the BJP leader with a ‘siropa’ during the visit.
After paying obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Nabin also visited Shri Durgiana Temple and was scheduled to visit Jallianwala Bagh and Shri Ram Tirath Temple as part of his engagements in Amritsar.
The BJP leader’s Punjab visit is part of a three-day programme during which he is expected to interact with party leaders and workers in different parts of the state. Party leaders said discussions during the tour will focus on organisational strengthening, public outreach and preparations for future political challenges in Punjab.
